Loud Explosion Just Before Makati Building Collapses – in Makati City A part of a condominium building collapsed before noon today Thursday 30th April 2020, as reported on Dobol B sa News TV.
Mayor Abby Binay identified the commercial-residential building which is located at Nicanor Garcia Street in Barangay Bel-Air Village is part of the SMDC’s Jazz Residences.
As per reports coming in by the SMDC it is understood that the facade wall of the parking level at the said building sustained damage and as a result of this its outer slab collapsed into the driveway.
As a safety measure residents were directed to stay near Metropolitan Avenue.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Mayor Abby Binay said the slab came crashing down from the 5th floor of the building.
Mayor Abby Binay also said that an explosion was heard when the part of the building collapsed. She said a bomb squad was combing the scene in and around this fairly newly constructed building.
The area restricted and building officials are conducting a thorough inspection of the condominium.
